Universiti Teknologi MARA architecture and built environment students bagged away trophy for Beautiful Home Competition

On Nov 18, a prize-giving ceremony was held on the conjunction of the Beautiful Home 2017 ID Contest which was held at TAHPS Group Bhd’s, Bukit Puchong sales gallery. This competition is a partnership between EdgeProp.my and TAHPS to provide a platform for all prospect students, professionals and non-professionals to showcase their dream home designs. Participants were required to submit their designs based on TAHPS’ Epic Residence duplex unit (Type C1) floor plan.

Sabrina Suhaimi and Adri Imran Ramli, students of Interior Design of Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Surveying (FSPU), UiTM had taken home RM10,000 in cash prize and certificate of excellence in the student’s category for their design, Avant-Garde Sky Oasis – Raw Modernist. All the winners out of 25 entries, where 8 entries in the individual category and 17 in students category were picked by 17,000 voters and evaluated by the judges.

In another event, another architecture student, Iryady Redzuan Rozaidi, of FSPU, UiTM have been shortlisted out of 21 entries where it was selected out of 468 coming from 118 universities and 42 countries for the Tamayouz International Award 2017 for excellence in architectural urban and landscape graduation projects. The selection was made in light of “Aspirational and Transformative projects tackling local and global challenges, informed by a holistic understanding of context”. Tamayouz Excellence Award aims to propel the profession of architecture both scholarly and professionally by providing a platform for a healthy competitive environment for both students and architects.
