Amrita University Faculty Gets Recognized as the Top Innovation Mentor in India

Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) of NITI Aayog (Planning Commission of India) has recognized Prof. Prashant R. Nair, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Amrita University), Coimbatore campus in South India as Top Innovation Mentor in India for online mentoring and coordination of the mission’s activities and initiatives in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

AIM has over 5000+ innovation mentors in India. Prashant mentors the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) of Yuvabharathi Public School, Coimbatore and has facilitated a visit by Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of his university, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Amrita University) to this school to explore partnership and collaboration between IIC and ATL.  Atal Tinkering Labs conceptualized by AIM, is a platform for school students to develop  ‘skills of the future’ in cutting-edge technologies such as Internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence, design thinking, advanced robotics, and cyber-physical systems through practical application based on self-learning.
