London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA) has announced a new partnership with University of East London (UEL). This collaboration will allow LCCA to offer franchised top-up courses in Business Management and Hospitality Management.
BA (Hons) Business Management (Top Up) and BA (Hons) Hospitality Management (Top Up) are level 6 higher education programmes which will be delivered by LCCA and validated by UEL. The one-year long courses are for students who have completed a two year Higher National Diploma (HND) or another equivalent qualification.
The Business Management degree encourages students to develop the skills and competencies relevant to their roles as future managers in order to enhance employability, including interpersonal and transferable skills. After successful completion of the programme, students will be able to work in the banking, finance, accounting and related industries.
The core aim of the Hospitality Management degree is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for careers in the hospitality sector. Upon programme completion, students will have access to a wide career spectrum in the travel and hotel industries, event management, food and beverage, the entertainment industry and many more.
Sharjeel Nawaz, Principal of LCCA commented: “This partnership provides an opportunity for current LCCA students on higher national programmes to progress onto the final year of a degree course from a reputable British university.
“This is a big leap forward for LCCA in achieving its vision of becoming an institution known for the quality of its offering.”
UEL was ranked in the world’s top 200 in the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings for 2018 and is second in the UK for quality of teaching.
Julian Davies, Head of School, School of Business and Law at UEL, said: “We’re very pleased to be partnering with the career-focused and dynamic educators at LCCA. The combination of the quality of our programmes and the LCCA leadership and faculty will produce excellent outcomes and experiences for our students.”
