Associate Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohamad Hafiz Mamat from Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FEE), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), has been awarded by the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM) for IAAM Scientist Award for his outstanding contribution to advanced materials science, engineering, and technology.

Dr. Mohamad Hafiz has been recognized in the field of nanomaterials for electronic device applications and has published more than 350 journals and proceedings in the field of nanotechnology, which includes high impact journals indexed by the ISI.

Among the papers that received the most citations are “Influence of doping concentrations on the aluminum doped zinc oxide thin films properties for ultraviolet photoconductive sensor applications” and “Fabrication of ultraviolet photoconductive sensor using a novel aluminium-doped zinc oxide nanorod-nanoflake network thin film prepared via ultrasonic-assisted sol-gel and immersion methods” which have been published in Optical Materials (Elsevier) and Sensors and Actuators, A: Physical (Elsevier), respectively. All publications from Dr Mohamad Hafiz can be obtained at Scopus and ORCID.

Dr Hafiz was invited by IAAM to deliver his talk in the Advanced Materials Lecture Series on October 27, 2020, with the title of “Deposition and Characterization of Al-doped NiO Nanosheet Films at Different Doping Concentrations for Humidity Sensing Applications” based on his works on nickel oxide (NiO) nanostructures.

IAAM is a Swedish-based, non-profit international scientific research organization, which actively involved in the world of advanced materials. IAAM also works to facilitate highly interactive discussions between researchers through various lecture series and conferences and promotes international collaborations that can benefit to the rapid development of advanced materials, engineering, and technology.
