Nahdlatul Ulama University of Surabaya (Unusa) officially has an auditorium room worth Rp. 15 billion. The inauguration of this multi purpose function room was held on Saturday, April 13, 2019.
“Alhamdulillah, finally we have an auditorium that has been in our planning since 2013. We are proud to be able to present this multi-purpose room to support all campus activities,” said Deputy Rector II for Resources and Finance, drg Umi Hanik, MKes.
According to Umi, the presence of the auditorium room was very urgent for the Unusa campus which this year entered the age of 6 years. As the number of students increases, the frequency of campus activities is also increasingly crowded.
During this campus activities are centered at Café Fastron, on the 3rd floor, with a capacity of 300 seats it is considered to be no longer sufficient. So that the presence of a wider and more comfortable auditorium has been eagerly awaited.
“Not only to support the completeness of campus facilities, the existence of this auditorium can give a sense of pride and sense of belonging to Unusa students to the campus. At the same time giving a sense of comfort when they move both college and non-college activities, “he said.
The auditorium is located on the 9th floor of the tower building at Campus B Unusa, on Jalan Raya Jemursari No 57, Surabaya.
This teather-shaped room covering 1,191 meters2 can accommodate 529 seats, equipped with 3 videotron facilities. One in the middle measuring 4 × 6 meters, while on the left and right of the room measuring 2 × 3 meters each.
The interior of the room is designed soundproof so as not to disturb other rooms. Similarly, carpet floor fittings are designed in such a way as to support the clarity of the sound system. While the accessories of the stage lights can be used flexibly in every activity held in the auditorium.
With the facilities owned, the auditorium room which was built with funds reaching Rp. 15 billion can be used by various academic activities such as profession inauguration of nurses, midwives, and nurses; various student activities both cultural, scientific, organizational and social arts; seminar or workshop mat. “It is also possible for nobar,” said this beautiful doctor.
Umi said, this room can also be used by outsiders. Next week, the plan is for the auditorium to be used by the campus in collaboration with Markplus which is holding an entrepreneurial seminar entitled “Printing Young Entrepreneurs Among Students and Students.” The seminar which will be held on April 18 presents Hermawan Kertajaya, President of Asia Council for Small Business and Chairmant of the International Council for Small Business Indonesia.
Mira Lesmana, 4th semester student at FEB Unusa, said she was very happy and proud of the presence of the auditorium. “Of course very happy.
